How Genesis Internet Works
Getting connected with Genesis Internet is a straightforward process. Follow these simple steps to enjoy high-speed, reliable internet at your home or office.
Rooftop Wireless Receiver
Our expert technicians will install a compact, high-performance wireless receiver (like the UBNT LiteBeam Gen 2) on your rooftop. This device is strategically placed to establish a direct, stable connection with our nearest internet tower, ensuring optimal signal reception and data transmission. A durable Cat6 Ethernet cable is then securely connected to this receiver.

Power over Ethernet (PoE) Adapter
The Cat6 cable from your rooftop receiver runs directly to a Power over Ethernet (PoE) adapter, typically located on your ground floor. This essential device serves a dual purpose: it powers the rooftop receiver and transmits data through a single Ethernet cable. Ensure the cable from the rooftop is securely plugged into the **WAN port** of the PoE adapter.
Connecting to Your Network
From the PoE adapter, another Ethernet cable is connected from its **LAN port**. This cable carries the internet data received from your rooftop device and is designed to connect directly to your home's main Wi-Fi router. This setup ensures that the internet signal is properly transferred from the outdoor receiver to your indoor network.

Wi-Fi Router Integration
The Ethernet cable coming from the LAN port of your PoE adapter is then plugged directly into the **WAN (Internet) port** of your Wi-Fi router. This connection feeds the high-speed internet into your router, making it the central hub for your home network.
Seamless Home Connectivity
With your Wi-Fi router now receiving internet from the PoE adapter, it broadcasts the Wi-Fi signal throughout your home. All your devices – smartphones, laptops, tablets, smart TVs, and more – can effortlessly connect to your router and enjoy fast, reliable internet from Genesis Internet. Experience truly seamless browsing, streaming, and gaming!
